Brunello di Montalcino is a red DOCG Italian wine produced in the vineyards surrounding the town of Montalcino in the province of Siena, Tuscany. Brunello is a Tuscan dialectal diminutive of Bruno ('brown'), which is the name that was given to the local Sangiovese grape.
