Use these alongside a glass, not instead of one
Vocabulary learned from a card fades; vocabulary attached to a wine you actually drank does not. Read the card for tannin, then open something tannic the same week and write a structured note on it.
Questions people ask
Are these flashcards free?
Yes, and there is no account, sign-up or app install involved. Open the page and start; the deck runs entirely in your browser.
What is on the cards?
The 43 wine terms most likely to appear in a tasting note or an exam question — acidity, tannin, malolactic fermentation, botrytis, chaptalisation, terroir and the rest. Each card shows the term, then a plain-English definition.
How should I use flashcards for WSET revision?
In short sessions, shuffled, and alongside tasting rather than instead of it. Vocabulary sticks fastest when a word gets attached to a glass — read the card for tannin, then drink something tannic the same week.
Do you have a mock exam too?
Yes, a multiple-choice practice quiz with an explanation after every answer. It is free and needs no account either.
