Wine mock exam
15 multiple-choice questions on the things the exams actually test — climate, winemaking, structure, faults and tasting method. Every answer comes with the reasoning behind it.

A wine is grown in a notably cool climate. Compared with the same grape grown somewhere warm, what should you expect?
What to do with the ones you got wrong
Do not re-read the chapter. Open a bottle that demonstrates the thing you missed — a cool-climate white if climate and acidity caught you out, an oaked and an unoaked version of the same grape if oak did — and write a structured note on it. One evening of contrast beats three re-readings.
Questions people ask
Are these real WSET exam questions?
No. These are practice questions written independently by SomeWine, and they carry no exam status. WSET publishes its own materials through approved course providers; take anything official from them.
Is the mock exam free?
Yes — no account, no sign-up, no app install. Answer, read the explanation, move on.
What do the questions cover?
The causal relationships the exams actually test: what climate does to acidity and alcohol, what oak and malolactic fermentation do to texture, how sparkling and fortified wines are made, service temperature, faults, and how conclusions about quality and readiness are supported.
How should I use it?
Read the explanation even when you answered correctly — the reasoning is the part that transfers to a question you have not seen. Then taste something that demonstrates whatever you got wrong.
What should I study next?
The flashcards for vocabulary, the printable tasting sheet for structured practice, and the Level 2 study plan for how to organise the reading.
